Many years ago I found myself standing in front of a gallery of amazing beach and ocean photography. The beautifully captured images of waves, beaches and coastline reached out to my soul - it was a life shaping moment.
Since I was a child I have always had an affinity with the ocean. My life has been characterised by endless hours spent surfing, sailing, windsurfing and paddlesurfing. It seemed only natural to pick up a camera and capture the beauty of the ocean as I knew it.
Photography began as a personal project, capturing the moods and flows of the ocean. As I learnt the craft of photography, it became much much more, searching for one-of-a-kind images that capture the coastline's natural beauty.
I strive to photograph scenes with a deeper meaning - images that tell a story, a journey or capture a fleeting moment in time.
